How to import a exist WORD bibliography into ENDNOTE

I have this question for a while back to 2000 (ENDNOTE v6) when I was finishing my master degree.Thing happened because I lost my Endnote library file in my computer (forgot the reason), but I did kept the different version of my writing file (.doc).
So I can see all the bibliography endnote citation/reference in my doc files, but my Endnote library is missing.
Theoretically, there must be a reverse way can put all the position content where software (Endnote) can recognize back into a new or existing library.
After googling and other search work, there is nothing I can do.
I end up built a "filter" in endnote to import the text into my library.

Today, similar thing happen but its not because I lost my library, its because my superv
isor and I both use Endnote, and after he add in some new reference, I'd like to import to my library directly.
After 10 yrs from the first time I met this problem, today when I google it for the resolution.

It end up only very few article and most of them are the same disappoint, because they just use my old way to import through the filter.

BUT its been a decade, how can the programmer of Endnote or other user did not need this convert function!!
After played with the Endnote(X4) a bit, I found the solution. (I know the programmers are smart).


1. right click the citation word. Choose "Edit Citation" then "more"
















2. move to one of the Travelling library and click the star shape icon in left hand bottom. Choose Export Travelling Library.



















3. Either choose a existing library or you want to start new one. Click ok.












4. You can see all the "travelling library" reference import to the library you choose.

2nd batch of home roaster~~

上個週末 烘了一些豆子後
星期一很興奮的就煮了一杯Espresso + milk froth
結果第一杯 狀況很差 應該是磨的太粗 看了很久後 決定還是倒掉
第二杯好一點
隔天就比較抓的到狀況 運氣好的rosetta 也拉了可以看到端倪

帶了豆子去學校 給一些朋友 試一下
結果深烘培的Brazil 評價不佳
混合Ethiopian和Indonesian Java的 就比較好些
所以後來完全就用 Brazil:Ethio 1:1和 Brazil: Java 1:1的比例 來煮
我自己是覺得失去了些甚麼個性
但是朋友覺得苦的感覺還不錯

















把剩下的送一送給大家品嚐後
今天晚上 就在烘一次
這一次 就準備烘的比較淺
根據“貝拉”網站上的說法

B46Kenya AA FAQ Kenya Mountain 肯亞AA;(CityFull City) 中焙

B38Ethiopia Yirgachefee 伊索比亞---耶加雪夫 (City);淺焙至中度烘焙

A27Brazil Santos N.Y.2 #18 巴西---山多士;(CityFull City) 中焙

B50 PNG Red; mountain A巴布新几內亞;PNG Red(CityFull City)中深烘焙


雖然我購買的地點 有些不太一樣 但是同一個產地的 我就覺得應該烘培程度差不多

就先依照網路上的建議吧

這次烘出來的
每種產地的味道 都很明顯
巴西的香味 覺得非常適合在Espresso 裡面
明天 將會採用coffeesnob網站的建議去blend

相信結果應該會越來越好~~

"For blending, try this: roast some of your Harar or Yirgachefe. Stop the roast immediately when 2C begins (or slightly before if possible). Then roast some Sumatran - you can go darker for this type of bean.

Now try some of the Ethiopian and Sumatran in equal quantities. This is the classic Mocha Java blend and it is a staple among many coffee roasters. Always a winner.

Try different proportions of each bean such as 60:40 to see how each works. Then try roasting them at different times so one rests longer than the other before blending. For example, blend a 10 day old Indonesian with a 5-7 day old Harar or Yirg.

Now roast some Brazilian and try equal quantities of the Ethiopian, Indo and Brazil. The Brazil will tend to even the flavours out so the roast will taste smoother. But this is my taste - yours may well be different."

Homemade Coffee roaster




開始用Sunbeam EM6910來煮Espresso後 因為咖啡的新鮮度可以很明顯的分辨出來
所以變得比較挑替咖啡豆的新鮮烘培

一年多前 就開始買當地烘培店 Coffee dominion的咖啡豆
但是過去這兩個月 他們的價格慢慢的漲價 到了快要十塊澳幣200g
買了幾次後 實在是負擔不起
就考慮其他的替代方案 就是自己烘


網路上搜尋後 發現爆米花機 是可以成為便宜入門烘豆機
上禮拜Target 剛好在特價16塊 就馬上跑去抱了一臺回家
也馬上到了BeanGreen網站 去定了一些生豆
一共定了
Kenyan AA Dorman Estate
Indonesian Java Kalistat
Brazil Santos Naturals
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Grade 2 Washed
PNG Kimel A

拆開上面部份 因為要有利於散熱
從這邊也可以看到 底下的出氣口設計 是購買爆米花機 來烘咖啡豆時 重要的選擇依據















因為在烘豆子時 咖啡豆 會跳來跳去 所以要選擇加裝一個煙囪構造
這個是把水果罐頭切開一端後 用的
尺寸剛剛好















烘豆子的最一開始 一分鐘左右 會把皮吹出來
所以上面不能加蓋
另外烘的過程中 會有兩次的crank (台灣稱為一爆 和二爆)
大概二爆後 就可以準備收工
但是每一種豆子的狀況 似乎都不太一樣
像這次用了三種豆子的crank時間就不同
放的量 似乎也會影響到所需時間

這些都需要一些時間去拿捏

冷卻後 放到另一個容器 並且把一些皮挑出來















這一次 烘了六包不一樣的
首先把基本款的巴西豆 烘了 四種深淺的烘培程度
另外也烘了
Indonesian Java Kalistat
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
後者是網路上 推薦的好豆
不過似乎這次烘培太深
下次時間稍微減少一下
